Ayr Scottish Eagles was an Ice Hockey team based within Ayr, Scotland. A team formed inside 1996, and played in the Ice Hockey Superleague. A team quickly rose to be one of a top teams in the UK; due in a share to achieving a Grand Slam in their second year winning whole quadruplet major UK Ice Hockey trophies.
A Centrum arena opened on the 25th of August 1996, shortly before a begin of the number one year each for the ISL and Ayr Scottish Eagles.
In the 1998/99 year the club relocated to a newly arena at Braehead just outside Glasgow and changed their name to Scottish Eagles, in this year it played in the European Hockey League in addition to the Superleague.
A club (using a newly title) folded on the 14th of November 2002, this occured part of the way through the final year of the ISL.
